Date: 17 NOV 2016
Venue: Edge Media Space, Farmington CT

Today was actually one of our easier travel days, only about an hour away from last night’s show in Southbridge MA.

The Edge Media Space is an experimental multi-media facility at Farmington High School, run by Evan Foreman. The main studio is an inspiring space with an eclectic collection of vintage audio and modular synth gear. When Evan asked if I thought Bernhard would have any interest in playing with some of this vintage gear, I said it would be akin to watching a 5-year-old in a Toys R Us. That said, we planned on an early arrival/load-in for a relaxing and fun pre-show afternoon.

The annexed performance space was tonight’s workspace. Although this week we were touring with Nocturne Blue, unfortunately the space was too small to accommodate the set-up for both bands; however, Dutch Rall provided stunning visuals.

Music composed by Markus Reuter and Bernhard Wöstheinrich

Bernhard Wöstheinrich: Synthesizers and Sequencers
Markus Reuter: Touch Guitars® U8, Processing, Live Mixing

Mixed and mastered by Markus Reuter using a Moon by Simaudio Neo 230HAD headphone amp/DAC, December 2016.
Produced by Markus Reuter (for Unsung Productions)
Video for “Farmington High School 2” by Evan Foreman
George “G$” Bley: Tour Manager, Driver, Roadie, Merch Magician
Special thanks to the great Evan Foreman

Alien Nature & Michael BrĂĽckner - The Dark Path
EM News Poster: BruecknerAmbient - Date: Mon Mar 06, 2017 2:16 pm
A new collaboration by Alien Nature (Wolfgang Barkowski) and myself has recently been released on Neu Harmony; it is available via synthmusicdirect.com.

The album is based on various sessions that Wolfgang and me have recorded between March 2014 and December 2015; those recordings were enhanced, completed, (re-) mixed and mastered by Wolfgang later on.

Stylistically, it's Berlin School / sequencer driven electronica, sometimes with a slightly dark twist...

Ron Boots Live in 't Tejaterke in Best 4th of March 2017
Concert News Poster: RogerS - Date: Sun Mar 05, 2017 10:42 am
Yesterday there were two concerts organised by Ron Boots in the theatre "'t Tejaterke" in Best. Admission was free(!) and around 100 people showed up.

The first concert was from Martin Peters and the second concert was from Ron Boots with Harald van der Heijden and a guest appearance of Stephan Whitlan.

Here is a link to a short youtube video of the concert from Ron: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaIErn2eRyg

As Ron already said before; this is really a very nice venue for concerts op 120 people. Great lightning. Both concerts were very good and my highlight of the evening was the song where Stephan joined Ron and Harold. Really magnificent.

I hope to see and hear more concerts in the future in this small theatre.

syndae - episode 378
EM News Poster: treibklang - Date: Fri Mar 03, 2017 8:00 pm
Well, I try to have a different style of music on syndae each week with tracks that are similar in mood, but still quite different in sound and kind. Simply because I like it that way. What type of music listener are you? Mix it up how it comes along? Trying to fit it to your mood or its opposite? Listening to common radio shows, I usually get bored or annoyed of their everlasting rotation of the same over and over again. So, yes, I like diversity and similarity equally, but not stupid repeatology. There's the saying of Don't repeat yourself, which I quite follow, so no track finds it way twice to the show. Most times. And tonight you will get mainly new stuff, too. Some albums we already had, most we did not. And each of them unique and very harmonic. Have half an hour of joyful chilling listening pleasure with Johan Agebjörn & Mikael Ögren (We Never Came to the White Sea), David Wright & Carys (Prophecy), Der Waldläufer (Fluidum), Alkor (Where Tomorrow Ends), moonbooter (Schwarzmond), and Cosmic Trigger (Escape from Chapel Perilous).

Much room to rest on:

Yours, Stefan

BrĂĽckner - re-releases on BC February
EM News Poster: BruecknerAmbient - Date: Tue Feb 28, 2017 10:36 pm
Just in time on the last day of this month, as announcend earlier, my "trilogy" of experimental albums from late 2000 / early 2001 is now available via Bandcamp, both in digital format and physical copy (a double CD-r set).

In addition to the original albums each of them contains a 59 minute "bonus track / CD" which is based on elements of the original albums.

For more details, please read the "liner notes" on the albums' Bandcamp pages (which in this case is the same for all three albums).
