TaboTago will also present their new album âKymaticaâ.
Kymatica is a journey back in time with one foot firmly in the future. To Berlin-based trio TaboTago, the years between Tangerine Dreamâs monolithic album »Zeit« in 1972 and the controversial fusion experiment »Cyclone« towards the end of the decade still provide plenty of inspiration. Over the course of many sessions and private concerts in a basement on TaborstraĂe they manage to crack the code which allowed Tangerine Dream to build epic and complex sound worlds using synthesizers and early electronic equipment. Starting out as a tribute band, it wasnât long before the band applyied their secret knowledge to the six pieces of original material on debut album »Kymatica«.
In the spirit of the originals from the 70s and performed on current digital gear as well as on analoge synthesizers, these up to 11-minute long tracks occasionally sound like undiscovered Froese recordings. Partly, this impression can be attributed to the fact that, similar to the techniques used by most krautrock bands at the time, all of the tracks were edited from live studio
sessions, using no overdubs and very little post production. The band regarded it vital to replicate the deep and warm sound of Tangerine Dreamâs 70s productions.
By incorporating these diverse influences into a âșBerlin Schoolâč production, »Kymatica« organically beams Tangerine Dreamâs spirit into the 21st century. â Tobias Fischer

Not everybody celebrates Easter, although it outgrew its religious meaning similar to christmas. The term Easter Egg got even more popular, not for the festivities but as a hidden feature in computer games, movies, and more. To me, electronic music and relatives are quite a collection of Easter Eggs within music in general. With only a few exceptions, most people rather listen to the ever repeating popular and furbished mirror-bright artists. Well, they miss out a lot, as to be heard on tonight's edition with extraordinarily fine tracks by Vangelis (Direct), Otarion (Under Surface), Ian Boddy & Erik WĂžllo (Meridian), Dreams Beat (Dreams Beat), Eagle (The Last Kosmonaut), and Jarguna (Pareidolia).
