Joost Egelie - The Foray (1991)
Posted Sun Nov 17, 2019 1:31 pm by jegelie
EM News My very first release of 28 years ago, finally on bandcamp. The audio has been cleaned and mastered in a very subtle way by Johan Geens, so that the original authenticity would remain.

Also one of the two real 1991 tape copies I still had left, is up for sale as a collector's item. It comes with a true signed certificate of authenticity. Only five copies were made at the time.

Take a listen over here: https://jegelie.bandcamp.com/album/the-foray

syndae - episode 499
Posted Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:00 pm by treibklang
EM News Do you sometimes think back about roads not taken, because they seemed uncertain or dangerous? I do. It's always an easy way to be angry about a potential decision that might have led to a better situation in life. Truth is, you do not know and never will. Any decision made, any road taken most probably would only have gotten you in a different kind of trouble. This happens to tiny things, like being in the wrong queue at a shopping mall or ending up in heavy traffic because of taking a short cut. Well, sometimes risk pays out, sometimes it does not. That's life. And what does this have to do with tonight's show? Most probably nothing. It might reflect the tracks I chose, which make an edition unique. It might be the sound an artist has selected for his track. Regardless, what one is struggling with, best to simply enjoy whatever little fun you can get. Like the wonderful tracks of this show, which are by Pandacetamol (Driftwood), V (23.56.04), Eisenlager (@work), Vulpes (Beat Battle Royale / Compilation), Hydro Fyter (Rust), The Oracle Model (Eventide Tears).

The sound path taken at

Michael BĂŒckner - The Undercurrent on Syngate
Posted Fri Nov 15, 2019 12:50 pm by BruecknerAmbient
New releases I'm happy to announce that my new album

The Undercurrent

has been released today on Syngate/Waves!

Image

https://michaelbrueckner-syngate.bandcamp.com/album/the-undercurrent-24-bit

It's my seventh solo album released on the label, I hope that's an auspicious number. Wink

The music of this album reflects my feelings about a lot of things going on in the world on the social, political and ecological level right now and tells a tale of contrasts between sinister tendencies and bright hopes, between decay and growths and between stagnation and evolution.

You can find more detailed information about the "making of" of "The Undercurrent" on the album's BC page.

Many thanks to Norbert Zumdiek who provided most of the images for the cover art!

Please note two further details:

- the download version is in 24 bit quality (provided you choose one of the uncompressed formats, like WAVE or FLAC)

- the download also includes three bonus tracks; two of them are alternative pieces that can replace track 1 and/or 3 of the CD version (replacing means they are mixed in such a way that also the continuous flow from track to track remains intact...)

Thanks everyone for Your attention and enjoy the music! Smile

FREE DOWNLOAD & MUSIC VIDEO

Composed, programmed, and recorded in real-time by a crazy mind and his synthesizers. No prepared sequences, patterns, or melodies used.

The Cosmic Crossings concerts are a series of electronic music events held at the Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing (aka UUCWC.) Each concert showcases live performances by electronic musicians and bands from all over the world, playing ambient, experimental, and space music, accompanied by unique lighting and multimedia visual effects.

“I distinctly remember that moment of realization – as Bernhard set up his minimalist music rig on our stage (just 2 synths, a laptop and a grid controller) – that he was planning to sit himself right on the floor
something we hadn’t seen at a Cosmic Crossings concert before. At first, I was concerned that the audience wouldn’t be able to see him on stage but, as he started to play, I realized that the music itself was the more-important focus. And it was quite a musical journey! His set was rich and varied in content and style, ranging from dense and orchestral to quiet and delicate, with many small musical and rhythmic accents, snippets of found sound, and interesting sonic bits that added to the overall richness of the performance. At the end, we all knew that sitting on the floor with just a few instruments within reach was the perfect way for Bernhard to present his music to us that night.” – Ken Palmer; Cosmic Crossings co-founder & visualist . . .

LAkeuZ - album out
Posted Wed Nov 06, 2019 10:10 am by cyberiad2001
New releases Hi!

This has been two years in the making, but now it is ready. ItÂŽs a new collaboration project between me and Panu M. Savolainen (deadzonemusic.com). It is meant to be genre-free electronic music, that was created without any thoughts of target audience etc. So the result is a blend of many styles we like, even within a single track sometimes. Of course, it is in some ways like you would expect, but thereÂŽs even prog and ethnic folk elements here and there. I am sure many of you would enjoy it as an album... we decided even go with a CD release as well, although it is nowadays a bit risky... but this is for the music.

please check it out... itÂŽs music with many colours Smile

cheers,
ami
