The new video "Awake From A Dream" by DEEP IMAGINATION

The video for "Awake From A Dream" from the album "Carefully Kept Secrets (2017)" leads into a surreal and dreamlike world. The floydian music of Deep Imagination and the lyrics, which consists of the fact that old dreams end and can lead to new dreams, are presented in a very special and lovingly way. On show are singer Ann Kareen Mainz, guitarist GĂĽnter Kaufmann and Deep Imagination-Mastermind Thorsten Sudler-Mainz.

"My strongest musical influences have been Pink Floyd and Dead Can Dance”.

Once again I hold a small but simultaneously great jewel in my hands. Those who appreciate the sounds of Enigma, Dead Can Dance, Clannad, Era, Pink Floyd and such can't ignore Deep Imagination. I’ve been following the project by Thorsten Sudler-Mainz a long time. The wonderfully produced and mostly cosmic sounding releases I have joyfully experienced. The new release "Carefully Kept Secrets", is no exception: spherical ambient sounds, interspersed with subtle percussion, airy otherworldly vocals, as well as tight art rock elements and occasional guitar highlights. So now over to Thorsten, let's hear how his project came to life, what's next up for him, he has a lot to tell us for sure.

The DEEP IMAGINATION interview by S. Ericksen for Black Magazin.

BrĂĽckner - re-releases on BC for July
Posted Sat Jul 22, 2017 11:43 am by BruecknerAmbient
EM News Re-Releases for July 2017 have just been added to Bandcamp (one week early this time, because of my upcoming summer vacation). Cool

This time, we have three „smaller“ additions:

Michael BrĂĽckner and Friends, ...live November 2007

Exactly as the title sugests, a live album from 2007 - my first ever solo concert actually (remastered, and featuring good friends on some tracks like Klaus Chmielewski, Wolfgang Bechtluft and Reinhold Krämer of B4 SUNRISE, and singer Cilia di Ponte).

Michael BrĂĽckner, Oxy Moron

An ambient album with some vaguely „tribal“ / ethnic elements and also occasional dance beats from 2003…

mbp (my old dance project name), Starfished

My first ever dance-ish album from 1998, also featuring Cilia di Ponte on three tracks. Two or three tracks may also appeal to regular "classic" EM listeners...

More details about these old albums again in the „liner notes“ on their corresponding BC pages.

Thanks for Your friendly attention! Smile

syndae - episode 395
Posted Fri Jul 21, 2017 8:00 pm by treibklang
EM News For at least four years, about every fortnight a new volume of the Midnight Radio compilation was released. It always contained a bunch of tracks covering a very broad range of styles, from traditional and classic electronic to pop, ambient and experimental music. Not to mention, that it always came for free. Norbert Kutz put a lot of effort into this compilation series and to me it was a vivid source of inspiration and made me feel like an explorer of new worlds. Well, sometimes an era ends, and so did the compilation some weeks ago. At the end, somewhat ten final volumes were released with music submitted to Midnight Radio. Tonight it's time to say thank you for all the work on this compilation. Hence, this is a kind of dedicated edition of syndae, having tracks from several of the final volumes, that is music by Reskimus, Jesper Sorensen, Eagle, Johan Tronestam, and Cousin Silas.

Taking a bow to midnight on

Yours, Stefan

Recent Tangerine Dream & Ulrich & Thorsten Interview
Posted Wed Jul 12, 2017 9:14 pm by TangerineMan
EM News Good Evening Folks,

I have been given details to join this site from Brendan Pollard.
Like Brendan, I've been a big fan of Tangerine Dream music for a vast part of my life. I recently went over to Berlin to attend two concerts and was given the opportunity to interview the guys the day after the last concert.
I played this out on radio on June 30th 2017 and you can catch up on this interview here: https://www.mixcloud.com/honzawhitty/tangerine-dream-interview-berlin-26-06-2017/

The next part of the interview will be played during the show from 7pm UK time on July 14th 2017 here: http://mixlr.com/1-ear-2-hear/

I hope that you enjoy the interviews and look forward to you joining me for future shows? The radio show will aways be playing music of this genre for a couple of hours at the end of each month.

Thank you for reading my post.
