New release from Klaus Schulze announced.
Posted Thu Dec 14, 2017 12:26 pm by Richard S.
EM News On the official website from Klaus Schulze there is a new album announced called "Silhouettes".

This title is mentioned earlier before, but is now officially announced.
It will be released (hopefully) within a few weeks.

This is on the site, with the typical KDM type of writing.

Yes, there will be one! It has four long tracks, and, yes, his loyal fans who have grown old with Klaus and his music will love it.

I, for instance, love the first track, the title track, a melancholic, soft, environmental sound piece. The other three tracks have sequencers in the "old-fashioned" Schulze way. Partly with a great finale, as in track 2. On the whole it's nothing really "sensational", or "new", and that's why the listeners will enjoy it.

The title of the 75 minute album is Silhouettes, it was recorded in summer 2017, and it will be released in a few weeks (I suppose).

syndae - episode 412
Posted Fri Dec 08, 2017 8:00 pm by treibklang
EM News While the world is still getting more and more grey, I have to admit that at the moment I prefer colourful sceneries. Not only in imagery but also in music. I guess, I am not alone and it is also one of the reasons for having all these festivities at the end of the year. And while it seems intreaguing to celebrate christmas time in a swimsuite, I prefer the northern hemisphere style of the seasons. Nevertheless, also quieter music somethimes gives me a good time, for tonight we have such material, not quite ambient, but close. Have a joyful session on syndae with tracks by Synesthesounds (Studio 4632 2017 Ambient Sampler), Cousin Silas & Kevin Lyons (Beyond the Infinite), Steen Chorchendorff Jorgensen (Out of Thin Air), Synthstudiodevries.com (Constellation Orion), Fabio Anile (Dense).

Elegant species on

Yours, Stefan

Sensory++ - "Art Of Sadness"
Posted Fri Dec 08, 2017 12:18 pm by jegelie
New releases New album: Art Of Sadness by Sensory++

The album is an ode to "feeling sad", an underestimated emotion.
The first track is somewhat lo-fi, this is because of the part that Anna Vorobyeva played (recorded in air). It brings an extra mystical aura to it.

From what I've heard so far, is that the album is considered "back to old-school Berlin". Not my first intention, but maybe this is due to the Korg SQ-1 sequencer which I tend to use a lot, in combination with the Korg MS-20 kindly donated by John Cornelissen.

Mastering was done by Johan Geens (Venja).

There is a digital download available at my bandcamp page, it holds the separate tracks (very handy for mp3 players, radio broadcast and such).

The CD, available through Wool-E Tapes, has the same tracks but in a 71 minute non-stop listening experience - ideal for dreaming away...
