Great news Eric! I downloaded Illusions and Visions. I have Conclusion since 2007. Back then i was cheated by an online order shop who listed it as a regular CD (cheated since then some more times, but luckily i am not buying products from them anymore).
I hope that You can release Your new album as a regular CD or download.

Sorry to hear that electrobs. Conclusion and Illusions were CDR:s, and the shops I used; Synthmusic Direct, Groove and Que Records should definitely know that.
My new album will be download only. Pressing CD:s are way too expensive.

Being a musical dinosaur, and preferring the hold in your hand CD with booklet and artwork,
I must confess I'm actually starting to warm to downloads.
I'll still buy a CD if possible, but if download is the only option,
then I don't have a problem with that.
Sadly however, I still burn my downloads to CD-R....
... well, at least I'm not attempting them transfer them to C60 & C90 cassettes anymore....

The people who buy my music mostly prefer high quality files. When they buy the disc, they always rip them in their computers as music files for their phones/ipods.
For this alone I would not invest in a pressing, because most of them prefer the download on that. A couple of years ago it was the other way around.
A 300 piece CD pressing is not expensive any more. However, I don't want a garage for of stock.

Good point Rene
I'm not sure if it's a generational thing or not?
There seem to be people of our own age on here that prefer the download every time,
then again there seems still to be a small market (I'm speaking only in terms of EM here) for buying CDs....
I'm sure I've read articles in the past, perhaps 5 years ago or more,
stating that the CD would be dead within a year,
and yet it still lives on in certain genres of music...
Surprisingly vinyl appears to have had something of a renaissance in recent years,
with even the few remaining High Street music shops selling it
when it was considered long dead and buried.
I've even come across artists on Bandcamp selling limited runs of cassettes,
which to be honest baffles me somewhat....
Personally I'm open to all mediums, with exception perhaps of cassettes.
I suppose it's a case of to each his/her own...

Why not, if it's a TDK MA-XG recorded on a Nakamichi Dragon?

Even that wouldn't tempt me to return to cassettes Stephen
There was nothing worse than searching for that elusive track on a cassette,
fast forward/rewind etc... to get it to the start of the track.
Plus the horror of the tape becoming tangled in the machine
Or in a quieter part of the music, actually hearing what was on the B Side, playing backwards....
Then there's the tape hiss....
That said I've still got a number of cassettes up in the loft, and the means to still play them,
so perhaps purely for nostalgic reasons (and nothing else) I might some day give them a go again....

My trusty old Akai has that Index Point Location System (I suppose that's what IPLS stands for), which works kind of well.

Hm, that sounds like you never had a decent cassette player ...
I've always enjoyed cassettes, remember saving up money to buy my first portable Philips in 1979 -- that was true independence for me. I was no longer tied to my dad's tape recorders and record player, truly a liberating moment.
I do have a penchant for tape recorders anyway, a Nagra IV is still on my wishlist. Not for practical reasons but because it's a beautiful piece of engineering.

That would probably be about right,
other than the Walkman I got for Christmas 84,
it was whatever cassette player was built into the given model of hi fi I had at the time

@ GrahamH: I like good sound quality the most, especially from a high speed reel-to-reel recorder.
I am glad vinyl is back. Maybe not perfect, but I like the experience. I more prefer to have a pile of records than of CDs.
Downloads are great for all portable devices or a very good DAC system.

So do I! E.g. PDB's excellent work.
