They had a number of problems with the last one...this is supposed to rectify them.

And hopefully the mastertape of "Velvet Voyage" that was on the LPs and first CD version. Not the slightly different mix.

So what's the story with Silhouettes? Believe it or not, the page is still up at Amazon: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00TKNQVLA/

Trolling? Laughing

"Silhouettes" is actually being released soon:

Yes, there will be one! It has four long tracks, and, yes, his loyal fans who have grown old with Klaus and his music will love it.

I, for instance, love the first track, the title track, a melancholic, soft, environmental sound piece. The other three tracks have sequencers in the "old-fashioned" Schulze way. Partly with a great finale, as in track 2. On the whole it's nothing really "sensational", or "new", and that's why the listeners will enjoy it.

The title of the 75 minute album is Silhouettes, it was recorded in summer 2017, and it will be released in a few weeks (I suppose).

Same album cover as the "leak" a few years ago:

This is not the most extraordinary one. But it is a record by KS, and I am happy to hear new things. The more I listen to it, the more I like it.

I put it on yesterday, went outside for just under an hour; when I came back in he was still playing the same 2 chords on the same generic pad sound. So I'd agree with the 'not the most extraordinary' comment.

It's quite good, but perhaps not great.

I think many of the fans are just pleased to hear another album from him.

If listening "blindfold" amongst several other albums,
I could certainly pick it out as a Klaus Schulze album.... Wink

he probably fell asleep at his synth and that's why you hear the same generic 2 chords for an hour.

klaus is past his sell-by-date.

Well, I'm sure I'll give it more plays and eventually it will either hold my interest or I'll just park it. I guess that's the problem with getting older and the fires growing dim. Fortunately it doesn't detract from the whole body of work. I think that's why I was able to appreciate Edgar Froese a whole lot more when he died than in his last few years.

Perhaps I should start with telling that I'm not impressed by 95% of Schulze's (recorded) output, and think the remaining 5% is only so-so. That being said, when I heard a track of Silhouettes on Star's End last Sunday I was really surprised. Surprised why a lable would ever release this. As Paul says, it's the same chords on a generic pad sound. Accompanied by a preset arpeggio. Really can't understand how anybody can listen to this, let alone take it seriously.
