Real instruments are real instruments, computer games will always be computer games.

Computer games can be fun but something tells me you would have a hard time driving a real McLaren F1 when all you know is its virtual rendition from Grand Theft Auto or something like that.

An old thread, but I imagine a lot has changed in 5 years.

I'm not a musician but I bought the software simulator of the Moog Model 15 for iPad. It's a $30 app for a $10,000 synth. It's sounds pretty damn great (to my ears).
