Because I am a computer programmer, I am trying to structure my workflow in a similar way as a software development. I usually have some concept or "mental image" which I then try to "paint" using / experimenting with various sounds, harmonies, sequences, melodies, rhythm, field recordings, etc. The "image" is the key - every part of a particular piece must fit this "image", otherwise it is discarded or archived if it looks like it could be used for some other "image" in the future. While building a piece I am experimenting/improvising a lot, until I find a harmony/sequence/melody/rhythm/etc. I am satisfied with, then programming it into my own sequencer. In parallel to this, all sounds are programmed manually, arranged into multies/performances and saved on respective synthesizers (my setup consists mainly of hardware synthesizers). Repeating this for days/weeks/months until the piece has been finished, if ever Smile I work with MIDI only, never record track-by-track and mix in the computer. All my synthesizers are connected to a mixer but all faders on it are fixed - I mix using MIDI CCs only (so all mixing can actually be programmed into a sequencer) and everything is always recorded in one go after the final sequencer/sound environment has been assembled and ready to be recorded. Such setup fits my workflow perfectly because I don't work on music full-time and for me it is very important to have the possibility to continue working later, to switch work between different pieces, etc.

In the old fashioned sense of the word I probably don't compose anything.
All my tunes are mixed online using loops and sound effects. Basically I just blend my different sounds together to make music.
The website where I go to do it is Soundtrap. I use to also go to Beatlabs but I prefer using Soundtrap because you have better options to enhance or distort your different sounds.
