Horner will be sincerely missed; good to see his excellent "Field of Dreams" OST, which always brings tears to my eyes, is mentioned here while I also got a knack for his straightforward, energetic stuff like "Aliens" or "The Abyss"......

I would have thought that "The Abyss" was a score by Alan Silvestri but maybe Horner was involved in it (or there was another film of the same name).
