Well, I like it. Some passages reminded me of the Vangelis we know from "Albedo 0.39" and "Heaven and Hell", there is also some hints of "Odes". I didn't have high expectations but this turned out to be an enjoyable CD, and been playing it a lot. "Sunlight" sounds like something he could have created at Nemo but using new instruments. "Starstuff" and "Return to the Voice" are delightful.

Lots of music to love here.

I finished & uploaded my review:

Just wondered if anyone else also feels it sounds compressed occasionally....

Anyone notice the similarities between the 'Perihelion' track and this Korg Oasys demo on Youtube from 2007?

Perhaps it's a factory patch that lends itself to playing that sort of music?

Vangelis used a lot of factory patches; 1492 is full to the brim with Korg 01/W.

In fact it is a Korg Kronos preset called "Tangerine Skyes", clearly inspired in Rubycon.

Anyway I don't mind if the sounds and sequences are presets or not, I only mind if I like the music or not. All in all, classical music is full of presets Laughing Laughing Laughing

Vangelis - Rosetta

Meh.....
Agree with Bert, some songs sound in mono by compression!
Not to happy with a 2016 cd recording!
here!
Key words here being 2016 cd!
Could have been way better than it was
