Elektronika EM 26. Didn't know it was a vocoder -- always thought it was some kind of SH101-inspired clone.

I hope it does sound better than a Junost 21, though.

Actually, it combines a vocoder and a string machine Shocked

Yes, perhaps something similar.

The PAiA stuff isn't exactly rare, it just isn't that desirable (yes, I know Peter Gabril and Larry Fast used quite a few of these). I must confess I'd love to try a Strings'n'Things though.

It's mainly built from kits, and the build quality may vary enormously.

Ok, this must be rare, though.

A rebadged Siel Cruise, if I remember correctly.

This just goes to show how desparate the Sequential marketing guys must have been...

The Photon never made it beyond vapourware status, I think.

Ok, but the photo of the Photon, although bad quality, seems real.

Speaking of Siel synths:

Do these qualify as rare, Stephen? At least you don't see these very often for sure.

I am sure they do.

Not sure if "rare" means "desirable" in this case... SIEL was hideous stuff that tended to fall apart (or rust away) while you were watching.

That's certainly true but it didn't get more real than the TBS Mephisto:

Even Vermona didn't manage to get this project off the ground some ten years later.
