at 3:36 in that video clip is part of the opening intro of Phaedra (the fast moog bubbling sequence). a lot of these badly dubbed martial arts films used lots of electronic music taken from EM artists in the 80's that were given no credits and used without permssion.

it says in the titles music by Tsang Kwon Wah, but he probably compiled the music from various sources. with some incidental music added.

full movie is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-LAUyBYe8E

So far i have heard in this movie - Tangerine Dream (Phaedra, Ricochet, Poland), Jean-Michel Jarre (Magnetic Fields), Logic System, Pink Floyd (Sheep),

skip to 3:47 to hear the music as used in the movie

Definitely not Phaedra, sounds definitely TD-ish.

Mark Shreeve perhaps, from one of his library albums?

No I thinks it's the french band Heldon, listen to the sample I posted. Starting from 3:47 it's exactly the same as in the movie. Except for the whoe's and thumb sounds Wink

I couldn't get your link to work, so I'm still none the wiser Laughing

The piece that I'm refering to is from the start up until 1.56 (with the credits) not the fight section of the clip...

It does sound very TD but with 'Jarre style' spacey lasers over the top!

Yep, I think Epiphany is right. It's Heldon. At a slightly different speed, but it's unmistakably the same track. Nice piece b.t.w. (the music that is, not the movie, which is horrific).

Yes! Spot on. Well done Epiphany, it's been doing my head in for months!!

I do own that film (I collect ninja movies) and I can confirm that it is terrible, and not in a good way Laughing

Cheers for the help

Perfect ID Smile
Stand By is Heldon's most (accessible) electronic album.

Smile bandcamp would have been the lasat place I would have looked for Heldon music, it's listed by the US Cuneiform label who reissued it and also released some Pinhas solo albums, so here it is:
