So it seems like the book is finally out, after years of work. I will order it after I have posted this message.

Anyone else looking forward to this?

What I am most curious about is how Edgar writes about Franke in the book. Will he mention him by name at all?

If the excerpts quoted in the TD documentary were taken from the book, Froese refers to Chris Franke as Christoph Franke. No big deal.

As for the rest:

From that interview:
"There were no warm feelings anymore, because I didn't think my music was as
good as it could have been."

Unfortunately the quality of his music didn't improve after he'd left TD.

Right. Although Pacific Coast Highway was a pleasant album -- a pleasant showcase of what could have been (or shouldn't, as some of it was just a tad too pleasant and too much of that elevator muzak so popular in the early 1990s).

Apparently, there hasn't been much mud-slinging or fisticuffs either.

Like any book, i will have to read some extracts to see if I like the writing style and depth. As much as I find the band interesting, a picture of the book cover isn't going to make me part with that amount of money.

I pre-ordered this book just after Edgar died.

I was doubtful that I would get to read it before I died.

There's still time......

Nice one.... Laughing

All good things come to those who wait. I'm sure it'll arrive soon Daniel.

I didn't order it myself, although I might buy it if the initial reviews are favourable. Wink

According to the website "The Zest" it can take a while before everybody who pre-ordered the book will receive it..

"'TANGERINE DREAM - FORCE MAJEURE' the Edgar Froese autobiography - shipped. NB due to the large amount of Books and CDs that need to be posted (over 3,500) it will take the entire month to send these out to fans. "

3500 ordered the book? That's quite a good number. Total price should be around 250 000 Euro.

I still didn't receive my book. Sad

Tomorrow is E-Live in Eindhoven where Tangerine Dream will play...

It will be unlikely that they are not selling the book @E_Live meaning that I, who ordered already on Jan 2015 (Edgar was still alive!), will get the book later than whomever buys it @E-Live... Not good.

Your order may have got lost since Edgar changed his cosmic address...
