Esoteric Recordings’ Reactive label is pleased to announce the release of a newly re-mastered 4 CD clamshell boxed set which gathers together the first four legendary albums by Tangerine Dream, originally released on the Jive Electro label between 1985 and 1987,

known by fans as “The Blue Years”

How many times can you remaster an album?

Anyway, I'm still happy with my original versions. Nothing wrong with them.

Which begs the question what source material was used for the remasters. I have that posh Japanese remaster of Zeit which looks like a miniature version of the original LP, just to discover pops, hiss, and crackle because the audio was sourced from... original LPs.

That was quite a bit of a surprise.
