Saw this film when it came out and again the other week on the Sci-Fi Channel on Sky.

Its aged a bit, but still a good film (IMO) with a great soundtrack.

It could have been better IMO. I don't think Drew Barrymore played the part of Charly well. It's also a tad sentimental. I do love the OST though.

She was just a little kid, mind you (no offence).

Well the premise of the movie was set around the little girl - Drew Barrymore, what did you expect? the movie was made ages ago.

I seen it ages ago on Sky, it was a TV miniseries, almost a bit like X-Men in a way.

It must be one of THE oirst horror movies I've seen. It's a shame a lot of Stephen King's movies were not a patch on his books. The Shining excepted.

Yep. Actually "The Shinning" film is even better than the book (specially the ending). Wink

I think Firestarter is an OK movie. I saw it years ago, before I had the soundtrack, so I recorded the opening and closing credits over to a cassette! These film versions of Crystal Voice and Charly The Kid respectively are a bit different, and better IMO, than the CD versions.
