Hi!!!

I am very proud to tell you that the very first nemesis album is now released as a double vinyl. It´s the album Xcelsior from 1994 and it has never been re-released before. We got the rights back in the Summer and it is now out as a deluxe double vinyl at

https://svartrecords.com/product/xcelsior/

Mastered by Tommi Langen (excellent work, btw), including a 4 page colour insert with new liner notes by Jukka Mikkola (of Avaruusromua YLE 1, the foremost media person in Finland regarding electronic and experimental music...has often played music from EMportal members too in his weekly program)

Personally I feel that this album is probably the most wholesome and sophisticated album in Nemesis discography. In hindsight, we got the chance to do the album just at the right moment; we were young, had no fear, but had done electronic music together for 7 years already, so we had learned a thing or two in the process. Btw, it was the first electronic music album from Finland that was released outside the country...

btw, although they are not mentioned in the track listing on the web page, there´s also two bonus tracks from 1994 on the side 4... the listing on the page shows the original CD tracks only.

Svart gladly sends their products overseas too. They also have the very interesting older synth music as deluxe vinyls available. Esa Kotilainen´s Ajatuslapsi from 1976 is there too (the very first finnish synth album and Esa is the Master!)

thanks,
Ami

Congrats Ami!

So far checked 2 tracks and must admit this is something special

It looks like a cult album saw the light of day...

Congratulations!

Any chance of being released as CD or digital download in the future?

Thanks!!!

and I do not have to blow my own trumpet too much in saying that it actually sounds good if not even better today than in 1994. The record label gave us free hands musically at that point and I think we steered to the right direction in not adopting too much of the techno sounds of 1994, but tried to make it more timeless and even proggy Smile

btw, the tracks you find on youtube are the more uptempo stuff on the album

thanks,
Ami

Hi Alvaro!

Unlikely in the near future... the Svart label specializes in releasing just collector quality vinyl. Perhaps later, who knows...

thanks,
ami

ps.
you can surely find the original CD in certain places in the net...discogs etc. The price seems to vary very much, though

Hi again! Just checked and it seems that Svart has good contacts to continental shops as well, so you actually can buy it more or less locally in the Benelux countries and in many web shops anyway. Nice.... It's anyway cheaper than ordering vinyl from Finland

Congratulations!

In lack of a working record player, I would be interested in a CD (or download) too, I confess...
