Got these two babies yesterday! I absolutely love them! The AN1x has a really great warm analog sound and the SY22 also has some very nice sounds.

Congratulations for your 2 new synths. Both are nice machines, I specially like the SY22 (I had one and sold it, I miss it).

Thanks! They are great, but I haven't even touched the surface of what they are capable of.

I never felt quite comfortable with Yamaha synths, I always preferred Roland or Korg when I was a lot younger than I am now.
I hope they bring you many hours of pleasure and inspiration, and if you ever get fed up of them, find somewhere to keep them, don't sell anything. I sold off a lot of my stuff years ago and have always regretted selling it.

I just acquired a Soundcraft Ghost console, needs a bit of work like a couple of bad channels and some dirty pots. Can't wait to get it up and running in the studio, I haven't had a real board for years now.

I echo this sentiment. Many years ago when we had our 3 wee ones running about the place and things were tight, I stupidly decided to sell my Westbury guitar, Peavey amp and ALL my vinyl to fund other things.
I regretted that for years after, beautiful cherry wood Westbury SG that it was. Bought all the vinyl back eventually ( mega £££££s ) and better amps/Fender axe. However the moral of this sad tale is don't sell your stuff

Now this is one great desk! I wish I had the room for one of these.
The Calrec mixers that are currently being auctioned off by the BBC aren't exactly bad either.

Just got a Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 12 from Sweetwater. Not sure whose fault it was, but a three-thousand dollar synth should never be dropped off at an address without a signature. They even delivered it to the wrong address (my home address, instead of my work address - Sweetwater is claiming a Paypal snafu). It sat on my front porch all afternoon. No signature was required. Unbelievable.
Fortunately, it all worked out and nothing bad happened. The Prophet 12 is beyond incredible.

Actually, Sweetwater are the lucky ones, because I would have reigned down an ungodly terror until they sent another one. ;-P
