To be fair Ian didn't say it was "new" stuff

No it's not new material but there's certainly a lot of music on there that deserves at the very least a second listen.

Hi Ian and hello to everyone on here.
Been meaning to check out DiN music for some time and just downloaded your DiN20 sampler there. Listening to it just now. Thanks for that
Will be checking out and purchasing further DiN, probably this evening
All the best.

This sampler shows that you can "mix" ambient, "EM", "newage". There's actually DJs out there that spin similar tunes in their sets.
DJs and DJing is a great way to get one's music "out there" and directed at a slightly different fan base.

DJs aim at dancing or chilling (in case of more ambient music) crowds. Both enjoy music's anonymity and usually don't give a rat's ass about origins of certain piece of music within the set - no artist name, no track name, no album. It's just musical wallpaper to them, a product. I tell this from experience as I was a clubber in the 1990's and visited a lot of clubs later on. That's "club culture" for ya. Of course there are curious people like you, but you're in the minority man. You might have had a different experience, and I am glad if you have.
So, it's quite a dubious fan base beause these people (club goers) usually hear but they don't listen.
P.S. I am not talking about individual concerts of IDM / techno / ambient musicians. Just the DJ events.
