First CD I got was Absolute Music 1. The first CD I bought was The Cream Of Clapton. Threw them out over a decade ago.

Vinyl 1975, a trinity of Dark Side Of The Moon together with the new releases of Wish You Were here and Queen's A night At The Opera.

CD, late 82-83 when the format was launched, Abba-The Visitors one of the very first CD's produced, Klaus Schulze - Dune, the first EM CD.

& first silver disc Jarre's Oxygene (that was preceded by the cassette of Equinoxe)

1st LP: I think "Cocktail Trio" Grootste Hits or something ...
but quickly followed by "Ekseption" "Greatest Hits"
1st CD: Antarctica - Vangelis (japanese pressing) way before I even owned a CD player Smile
1st SINGLE: no idea....
1st CASSETTE: none, I never bought prerecorded cassettes...

My first LP was Sgt Peppers......changed rock and roll IMHO
My first Cd was.....Duh... Sgt Peppers
1st EM cd was Oxygene by JMJ......Still an unbelievable listening experience today

I think very symphonic and technical high (over)produced and composed music ;p

but it is possible you also like the opposite as a counterweight.

problem is the combi of Vangelis & Jarre, both technical great players,but without spontaneous experiments.

I often tend to think that people who like both have mostly the opposite taste as I have Wink
