Just played it on Spotify, pretty cool album strange I hadn't heard it before.

Now listening to Oceanic which is on Spotify too, not too bad, when it was released I was a bit done with Vangelis' symphonic stuff so dismissed this album, but this is nice and electronic!

Yeah , that's the general public's 'problem' with Vangelis. I once recommended him to a friend who liked Antarctica that I was playing. The store he went to only had Invisible Connections in stock, so he bought it without listening. He still does not believe me if I ever recommend any particular vangelis album Wink I quite fancy Earth. More rock oriented than his later stuff (in general that is Wink )

None other than certain sounds or playing style perhaps but then that's what characterizes any Musician/Composer Laughing

Vangelis, Earth - 1973
Ashra, New Age of Earth - 1976

Vangelis, Earth - 1973
Ashra, New Age of Earth - 1976

Question

Apologies, Steve was right pointing the off topic tangent but this happens in all good conversations, in courtrooms things are reduced to boring Yes/No answers Laughing
So, my comparison was to the off topic sub-thread Rolling Eyes about how different Vangelis' music was between his albums, in this case Earth & L.apocalypse... both released the same year.
