Ultima Thule is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a three-program series of original and unreleased compositions by ambient artists. My contributory track, entitled 'Departure', will be broadcast in the last (3rd) episode, Ultima Thule 1012, on March 9, 2014. The podcast will be also available soon.

Thanks for posting, Juta. I wasn't aware of this nice new contribution to the electronic ambient/space community....

An impressive list of great musicians. (Positively) surprised to see Al Gromer Kahn there...

"Beyond the Borders: Ultima Thule Ambient Volume 2", which consists of previously-unreleased music created exclusively for Ultima Thule's 25th anniversary in February 2014, has just been released after two year wait.

Only digital download is available from Ultima Thule Ambient Media (UTAM) on Bandcamp.

I don't know why, Bert. I'm one of those who were patient. I think George Cruickshank only knows Wink

Thanks Juta, long time no hear Smile
I do have the vol.1 CD & totally forgot about vol.2.
When I went to bandcamp the $20 price tag seemed steep, but then I saw 34 tracks running up 4 hours and 20 minutes, or around $4/5 albums worth of music.

Looks like a (single) CD release of selected tracks got cancelled in favor of the download version which includes all the music.

Weird... Just when I wanted to buy the album it has been removed from Bandcamp.

Does anyone know what happened? The info from/about Ultima Thule on the web is a pile of cr*p.

Smile this is very odd, just vanished without a trace while the other listings are still in place.

I sent the guy an email asking if it will come back, I did buy the flac that day and downloaded fine, so at least one file copy exists Wink but let's see what he has to say.

Since I hear that a few of the artists need withdrawing their contributions, I guess George is rearranging the album. I think the album will come back soon, but am not sure.

Thanks Juta, it makes sense that after some 2 years delay some contributors changed their minds.

Dan, I think your point of view is not irrelevant Wink

Since George (Georgivs) has joined this forum, he may explain.
