Well, this year better be short, as today I learned that another E-Musician has left us: Patrick Wille Kosmos...

This is really a big loss for electronic music. I have followed Patrick's music since the time he released cassettes and later the cd's on the IC-label. I still regard those albums as highlights in the Berlin School/cosmic EM. I saw him perform on several EM festivals and they were always magical concerts. I shall miss the cosmic messenger. May he RIP.

A pity, I do rate some of his tracks very highly and have listened to his music since the 1990's.

RIP!

Love and strength to his family (his daughter should be 15 or 16 years old by now) but I hope this life has taught him a lesson he will remember with his next incarnation.

Goeie reis, Patrick.

Sad

What a sad start this year has...

Wasn't familiar with his music yet, just listened some tracks today. Which I enjoyed... RIP.

yes, he also will be missed dearly;
I eremember him sitting on his carpet in front of his league of synths of which all brandnames were made invisible with tape....

Anyone here btw who still has a working copy of the data/photo-disc rounding out "The Chronicles" cd-r box-set?
if so, please contact me.....

Fantastic musician with a unique 'style'...
Brings back fond memories of a trip I made together with him and a bunch of other Belgians to Berlin.

I am also interested in the 11th disc of "The Chronicles" cd-r box set.
Anyone please??? drop a line or pm.

After the sad leaving of Edgar this is another blow to the EM-scene in this year.

I'm a bit reluctant since I don't know what the source of this sad news is (i.e. where did araglin get the information from). But if this is true, it's very, very sad news.

I still remember his concert at one of the first (the first?) KLEMdag. He was very talented. I have a few of his cassettes as well as most of his (regular) cd's. Not the box set, unfortunately. His style was very recognizable.

Have a safe journey into the 'Kosmos' dear Patrick. And thanks so much for the great music you shared with us.

Sad indeed if true, I liked all his music and we had a thread here about him in the Whatever happened to... trying to find out what he was up during the long silence.
I have the complete 11 CDr set of Chronicles (I entered the set in discogs some 4 years ago) but never found a copy of the 12th CDr he was sending out direct upon request after purchasing the box set.

I also have the Chronicles set. It contains much of the music that was released on cassette in the early stages of Patrick's career. There are tracks on the CDr's that were also released on the IC-albums. I was told that the 12th disc in the box was supposed to be send out later but I have never received it. I consider the box to be an important release in EM.
