I'm happy to announce that my humble contribution to the excellent "Fog Music" series on Jack Hertz' label Aural Films has been released today.
As You might have read in other posts about this series, it's atmospheric (drone) ambient, trying to capture the mood of this special weather condition.
My contributions were already recorded many months ago, btw. so I have almost forgotten how exactly they sound like (I'm just listening to it again for the first time while I type this).
It's a free digital release btw. - stream or download it from here:

Here's some of what Jack wrote:
Aural Films presents "Fog Music." A series of recordings inspired by the weather condition known as fog. Light and dark, wet and dry, this invasive event is a great source of inspiration for sound artists from around the world. This project seeks to publish 24 hours of these recordings as an on-going series for all to hear and enjoy.

First of all - thanks a lot for putting this in the news line again, Koos!
Until recently, I wasn't aware that the articles disappear from the line if one edits the original post (I did that, in this case, because I had noticed that in "anounce" an "n" was missing...). Plus, I thought the cover image was slightly too big and replaced it.
But had I known that I would cause more admin work thereby, I hadn't done so. Sorry for this!
Now...
In the first place I came here to share a new review about this album, published just today, on the ProgArchives.com review page once more.
The reviewer says:
"It was a huge thrill to learn recently that German electronic artist Michael Brückner would be contributing to a future volume of the `Fog Music' series, and the talented composer has released a varied, intelligent and frequently challenging contribution. An artist of immense variety over a wide range of electronic/ambient styles both modern and vintage, Brückner here offers three long-form twenty-plus minute pieces, all full of haunting atmospheres while daring to take some darker and more experimental risks."
...and he concludes:
"As for Michael Brückner's personal volume here, it's further evidence of his musical creativity, taste and skill, but it's also quite difficult and confronting in parts. It's certainly not the place to start if you're just beginning to want to look into his work - newcomers should investigate his colourful "R is for Rocket, "S" is for Space' or his immersive double album `In Letzer Konsequenz' first. But those already convinced by his talent and with great patience to listen carefully will be rewarded the most here, and those who appreciate darker ambient and drone music will find this a hugely fascinating and rewarding title to explore.
Four (of five) stars."
Fascinating to think that there are people who get thrills when they hear about a new album by me...

JAY!
I've just stumbled upon this wonderful little review of my album "Fog Music 35" (or rather: # 35 of Jack Hertz' series 'Fog Music' on his label Aural Films) on the homepage of "Stars End" - a classic EM and ambient radio show hosted by Chuck van Zyl (who, I guess, also has written this review...).
Nice!

STAR'S END Update - 27 March 2016
We may become lost in thought, or lost in fog. Listening to the music of Michael Brückner will have us lost for words.
His Fog Music 35 (61'25') offers three tracks from out of the alone zone - our only companions the many vivid sounds Brückner realizes in the ever-shifting vastness of his obscure sonic realm.
Isolation encourages mental imagery, as imagination and perception occur along coexisting neural pathways, and are continually contending for attention. This music is the perfect environment for such engagement.
It feels intimate, almost haunted, and provides detailed visualizations of the composer's vivid fog-laden reality.
Activating different parts of the mind, Fog Music 35 may supplement our cerebral energy in hopes of producing spatial and cognitive distortions - which, for some, will raise their fear of the unknown, and for others, fill a demand for sonic sensations still more vast.
Once within these abstract constructs, we navigate through mist and clouds - encountering the music's luxuriant beauty and Brückner's leaden searching. Accented passing notes and suspensions supply expressions of the inner experience, as droning electronic tones expand and recede in studied synthesized breaths. Metallic modulations slowly rise within reverberant spaces amidst wispy resonant tones, which provides little substance for the listener to hold on to. Yet, somehow we comprehend this music's distinctive atmosphere, and find our place of focused contemplation.
Working solo, Brückner meets, not the fog, or the dream, he meets himself. Each of his reverie inducing tracks at some point leads us through an experience that words cannot describe. Fog Music 35 is so eerily beautiful, so finely outfitted in numinous vibrating colors, that it might take multiple listenings to prove it is real.
Please tune in to STAR'S END this weekend for music from Fog Music 35, Michael Brückner's contribution to the ongoing series of albums on Aural Films.
