808 State

808 State was one of the UK's leading band in the house genre in the late 80s and early 90s. Some years ago, the DVD collection "Opti Buk" was released, featuring all their videos, some live clips and a bonus CD. It's a great package that all fans of house music should get.

Of course, also check out some of their albums like Ninety, Ex El and Gorgeous.

Ninety is a good album, the last two you mention are rubbish.

I prefer Newbuild and Quadrastate (Both on Creed Records)

Other notables from 808 State are the singles Let Yourself Go, Magical Dream, Cubik, Olympic State, In Your Face and of course the classic Pacific State (original version on the Quadrastate EP)

Well, several of those singles you mention are on the Ex El album, so I don't understand how that album can be rubbish... 8)
