I have always had some prejudices towards this harp guy, without really having heard his music. I feared something similar to whale song, running water and a choir of angels. But the three tracks he had on the Atmpospheres compilation (Epic, 1986, from the Behind The Gardens and White Winds albums) are quite good. More uptempo than I thought, and the harp is modified so it sounds more like a synth.

Any Vollenweider experts here? :)

Caverna Magica is a good place to start, and if you like that then Behind the Gardens, White Winds and Down to the Moon are all equally good. I can't really speak for any of his later albums.
