It took me quite a while to create this new long-form, immersive video, mainly because I looked for ways to provide visually attractive "content" without using the currently oh-so-popular and ubiquitous AI image generators.
Once again, my good old friend (and amazing visual artist) Andreas Schwietzke helped me out. Originally a traditionally working and very skilled painter and illustrator working in a photorealistic style, he changed - for health reasons - to digital artwork in the late 90s, using 3D rendering software since. While the resulting aestetic is, in a way, similar to the current flood of AI images, the process is completely different, and the results are way more intentional and personal (once You've seen a couple of Andreas' digital paintings, it becomes quite obvious that he has a unique and highly recognizable style).
I'm happy that Andreas agreed also on further collaborations, and I'm really looking forward to that!
Another reason why this video was a few weeks in the making is that the music (including all sound effects) were composed to suite the images - like a movie soundtrack really (as opposed to "just" creating the music and combining it with some originally unrelated picture).
Oh, by the way - the music (and the video) both have a "spiral" structure" - by which I mean they seem to repeat in a (long) loop, but they actually never do exactly repeat in the same way, but evolve all the time, introducing new elements and perspectives with every loop - which, by the way, occurs three times, resulting in a three-part kind of composition, with different sounds dominating each part.
I hope You enjoy the tale!
