A most fascinating topic Jon, almost making me drop everything else and make a start 👍
Most of us listen to cross genre styles going back a long time including the years the classics were created just to pick just 3...so there may well be an Abba or Suzi Quatro in the mix :D

An intriguing challenge slicing the years and remembering where and in what circumstances I heard something which has become part of my life.

I have a list with all my music on it, including year of release, so it didn't really take that long. But I guess you have a MASSIVE collection which will make it a bit more hard.

Impressive list, Alvaro! Thanks for taking the challenge!

I counted 16 titles we had in common on our lists. 1994 was identical!

I guess my list shows my interest for pop music with vocals more than yours, which is more plain electronic/instrumental.

Like you, I'm a fan of Hans Zimmer, but I often feel that his soundtracks don't quite work as a well-developed studio album. Not strange, as he often doesn't have much time to do them. Are you familiar with this limited 2CD version of Black Rain?

Yes, in fact I have it. Talking about Zimmer, I remember him saying he composed a lot of soundtracks just like a factory, one after the other, and other people did the orchestrations, arrangements and recording. But for certain movies, he forgot everything but that particular soundtrackdid and concentrated in doing his best. You can easily guess the titles: "Crimson Tide", "The Thin Red Line", "Gladiator", "The Power of One", and so on.
