David Parsons passed way

Accomplished and respected New-Zealand based musician David Parsons has died aged 81 on February 15, 2025
His record company have finally created a Wikipedia page for him:

I had the privilege to be in direct contact with him for many years and once write a feature on him & his music (https://www.sonicimmersion.org/feature-of-david-parsons).
He will be sorely missed.

A great artist indeed...

Strange thing, when I read about his passing, at first I believed that he was one of those artists I did only know by name and never heard any of their music - but just this morning when reading somewhere that he was involved with the Kuckuck label, and Celestial Harmonies, the penny dropped:

I indeed had listened quite a lot to some of his music during the 90s, there were two albums that I found in the local library and copied to cassette, but an all time favourite of mine is the V/A compilation "Asia Music" which contained two (excellent) tracks by him (...also by Stomu Yamashta and Paul Horn, plus many Asian artists).
