Oh!! and we cannot for get Stomu Yamashta's "Go"

I played "Go Live Paris" a few months back and it took my audience by complete surprise, what a stellar line-up here

Klaus Schulze
Al Di Meola
Michael Shrieve
Pat Thrall
Steve Winwood
Brother James

I'm placing this here because I cannot find another category it belongs in

Just that I am not that much into jazz fusion stuff, I'll have to listen to some of the music over the weekend and decide if I go.

Well, some of Jean-Luc Ponty's material is mostly just him and his synths (INDIVIDUAL CHOICE, OPEN MIND, LIFE ENIGMA) with a few guests here and there (George Duke, for one). His post-Zappa releases are some great progressive-rock instrumentals and had the incredible Alan Zavod on keys and synths. (IMHO, any musician that played with Zappa was incredible; Frank didn't hire no-talent chumps that just happened to be photogenic!) The jazz is never far from the surface with JLP's music but this is a good thing.

Now playing: Ponty, Jean-Luc - Signals From Planet Earth
