Edgar Froese car accident

Greetings, fans of EM...

I've been trying to find online information about the car accident suffered by Edgar Froese, which I believe occurred around a year before he died. (This is research for a fictional story.)

I can't find anything online, so I wondered if any of the fine folk at this forum might know any of the details.

I thought he slipped on a path frozen over while walking the dog. He literally fell flat on his face and broke his jaw bone.

At least that's what I know from listening to various (rather spooky) interviews he gave before his passing.

I read somewhere it was a jogging accident, not a car accident

:shock: he looked so frail for quite some time even before his accident, so i think this is rather unlikely. Or at least he should not have taken up jogging, especially at wintertime...

Any other confirmed/reliable material would be greatly appreciated.
I am writing a story for an anthology about great musicians we've lost recently, and I chose the incomparable Edgar.
So I need to get this right...

Please help if you can!

I agree with Stephen on this one.

There's mention of this on Voices in the Net...

I do remember at that time they were due to play on a cruise ship,
and had to pull out of the gig at the last minute because of it.

You might also want to try searching the TD forum discussion threads around that time (early 2013)...

I met him briefly in 2008 when they played in Edinburgh,
and although a bit overweight, he looked healthy enough at that point.

Sadly after the accident however,
I don't think he was ever really the same again,
he just looked very frail...

He didn't have a car accident. He fell when he walked the dog.

The final interview Olaf Zimmermann conducted with Edgar for the Electronic Beats broadcast was creepy... it was like someone speaking from the realm of the dead. Really creepy.
