Thought I'd start a thread on Pete Namlook's FAX label, IMHO one of the most outstanding success stories in the whole (relatively short) history of EM, or at least the idea of having your own EM label and doing limited edition CDs aimed at fans and collectors alike.
I know that the whole idea of limited editions annoys the hell out of few fans, especially when they miss a release. But at least Pete set up the Ambient World label, so from time to time you can pick up those releases you missed and fill the holes in your collection.
For the musician it seems a fairly good way to run things and by and large PN seems to make a good living out of it, but obviously the main plus point is that ever few months you have a new release to look forward to (although not all of the releases are unmissable IMHO).
