I guess they've all grown tired of EM

especially when it's been talked to death.

the original emforum.nl was pretty basic (artists/gear/releases/offtopic) and was always busy. emportal should have kept the same format, too many useless sections/threads on here.

The home of UK EM!

and lately even more quiet than here :!:

I've noticed that, too. A little more traffic would be fantastic indeed.

I guess this is partly due to other social media taking over, and to a general lack of interest in EM. This not only applies for discussion forums on the internet but also for concerts, festivals, and music in general.

do not think that is the problem.... that is still the same as years ago.

it is more because people are tired to talk about EM.... they only want to listen to it ;)
and finding virtual friends.... there are to much options these days...

I see for instance see Michael here but also so on other places... how much can you take..... ;)

For those who are not familiar with emforum.nl and wonder how it looked like: a screenshot from December 2006 (2 months before its closure)

Can anybody remember what exactly prompted the owners to close this forum?
