I'm afraid I'm somewhere in between Stephen and Steve, generally fairly tidy and fairly organised, but can get extremely disorganised in the heat of a session. :)

Just goes to show we are all different and different things work for different people

For the last 5 years or so, I have sold a bunch of gear that I discovered I didn't use. Instead of collecting e.g. old Korgs, I decided to focus on really good instruments instead (I don't mean that Korgs are not good). I think I got that insight when I bought the CS-60 and the Minimoog; they have such a musical sound!

Another thing about the studio; there are ever growing piles of cardboard boxes, bubble plastic and half-built junk that I just have to deal with some day...

Sell old keyboards, I'm not sure I could do that, though I did sell my Roland MC202 as it didn't suit my way of working (I like to play, not program!) and they are going for so much on ebay..... My studio has a moment of tidiness about once every 2 years when I finally get fed up with something not being egonomic enough, then it deterioates again...... new purchases quite often throw a spanner in the works! At present I have midi and audio leads trailing across the entrance to the studio because I can't decide where my drum pad are going to live. Bit off topic, but my studio oveflows because I can't get rid of anything, still have my 1st drum machine from 1986!
