Anyone into Glitch or Microtonal music? Its a little sub genre that kinda passed me in early 2k but I'm catching up now thanks to emusic.

Although a lot of it can often seem like random noise there are some highlights. I recommend Tim Hecker, Alva Noto, Taylor Deupree the Mille Plateaux Click n' Cuts compilations.

I can hear the Glitch thang creeping its way into mainstream/alternative electronic dance more and more these days.

Taylor Duepree is playing in Melbourne next weekend. I like a lot of the things on his 12k label.

It's like a lot of these genres - the best, rare musicians that create some amazing material are hard to find amidst the sheep-like dross. I'll look into those recommendations though.

Yes for some time i have become a little fed up with the Berlin school electronic music, and the discovery of the microsounds/glitch/clicks and cuts/lowercase music, in my case for the past few years, has added much listening enjoyment.

My fave labels are: Raster Noton, 12k/Line, Mille Plateaux (now dead), Kranky, Room 40 and so on.

Fave artists: Alva Noto/Carsten Nicolai, Frank Bretschneider (aka Komet), Richard Chartier, Taylor Deupree, COH, Steve Roden, Keith Fullerton Whitman, Eliane Radigue, Pan Sonic, Berhard Gunter and so on...as many of the artists in the related musicial movements play software synths/notebooks, there are too numerous of them to list here...
