There are some great synth solos about. Tina Turners Nutbush City Limits springs to mind and ELP's Lucky Man.

Any others that we can think of?

definitive gaze - magazine
statues - OMD
rising runner missed by endless sender - T Dream ( not really a solo more a melody but the synth bit that goes 'de der der' before the vocals kick in is fantastic!)
thats enough for today, bed time.

I love Mark Kelly's Pro One solo on Marillion's Lady Nina and think all of Kevin Moore's DW8000 solos on Dream Theatre's Images and Words are pretty amazing.
