How many incomplete projects are on your hard drive?

Inspired by my house move I've been cleaning out the music PC hard drive and cataloguing all incomplete or in-progress projects that have accumulated over the years.

I was quite suprised to find about 60 projects worth developing further (some time :) ). (all the rest have been binned - very liberating  )

This lead me to wonder what other forum folk may have accumulated over the years? or is everyone here very good at working on one piece at a time &/or cleaning up regularly...

Quite a lot actually including more unreleased music from my analog tape archives as far back as 1996 transferred to disc. I can't clean them up anymore without leaving residual digital artifacts on them. They could be developed or remixed further by adding additonal effects, or the process we all now know as Tangetization

I think i have counted at least 30 unfinished projects and ideas (mostly 3-5 mins long) and my final unfinished Berlin-School album 'Thera' which probably won't see the light-of-day, perhaps next-year maybe - if i'm still on either Syngate or Spheric by then?

I'm just focused on recording and finishing my new dark minimal Syn303 album for July, so everything else is irrelevant at the moment.

None.
When we meet up, we play, record lots of things and the best things gets released.
In the past I was always busy with the latest track, finishing it when I thought it was finished, so no open things there too (so one piece at a time).
Although there are lots of tracks which hasn't been used (yet), so if you mean this with open projects then yes there are open projects.

Lots of tracks burned off to cdr that I like, but didn't fit the project I was working on. Things I finshed and liked - but didn't 'work' - maybe a heavy beat track written in the middle of a more beatless ambient project. That sort of thing. Sometimes those sit in the archive for a long time before I remember they're there or stumble across the right thing to pair it up with.

I also tend to record a lot of improv stuff and let the music take me where it wants to go... so if I record 15 takes of the same track - several of the takes will be so different that they're basically different songs if I decide to develop them out further.

Admittedly - I rarely develop things like that out further - instead just starting new... :)

Anyway - yeah - lots in the archive. A lot of live jam stuff as well that's never seen the light of day, unfortunately.

I think I currently have something like four or five projects waiting to be finished here. I make music on a daily basis (well, almost), and everyday I record something different which just occurs to me (no boundaries). At some point I start to realize that some bits work together well while others haven

Nine, hope to complete them to a new album, once.

Too many. Most of them will stay unfinished, unreleased and just nice things to remember or forget over the forthcoming years. New projects are constantly replacing the old.
