Dear friends,

Here’s the latest from the iapetus / Unsung Productions team.

1) Markus Reuter’s „Todmorden 513“ symphonic version to be released on 17 June 2014

We’re happy to release Markus’ unique piece in collaboration with Trey Gunn’s 7D Media label.

Markus Reuter, composer and touch guitarist with Tony Levin‘s Stick Men and The Crimson ProjeKCt releases his first symphonic composition, Todmorden 513. This piece – a re-orchestration of a mostly electronic work – was recorded by the Colorado Chamber Orchestra after extensive rehearsals and orchestration sessions at their base in Denver, Colorado. Now a recorded version is finally available in, both, stereo and surround sound formats.

Both download and physical copies are available here:

2) The Crimson ProjeKCt Live Dates / Markus Reuter’s „Sultry Kissing Lounge“

The Crimson ProjeKCt’s recent Spring Tour was a resounding success, and the band are looking forward to heading back out on the road in late June for further shows, culminating in a couple of US dates in mid August. Also now available from band member Markus Reuter (who also produced the recent ‘Live in Tokyo’ for the InsideOut label) is ‘Sultry Kissing Lounge’ (Live Openings from The Crimson ProjeKCt Spring Tour 2014).

Compiled from a selection of opening live improvs performed by Markus throughout The Crimson ProjeKCt’s Spring 2014 European Tour, these instant guitar compositions set the tone for each concert and provided a launch pad for drummers Pat and Tobias to begin their opening drum duet.

The album is available as a CD (with artwork by band mate Julie Slick) or download from:

Great stuff! 👍

I'm looking very much forward to this!

Pity I missed the Crimson ProjeKCt when they performed here in Mainz; interestingly, friends who went there had told me the concert had been sold out already back in December (they also all told me it was great, afterwards...).
Then, incidentally, today I read the review of the gig in the Grugahalle in Essen (in Eclipsed Magazine), and there they wrote that there were rather few visitors.

That made me wonder, somewhat; seems after all, the people of Mainz have good taste...
