Made an interesting find in my loft yesterday in a dusty box of cassettes long forgotten..... INKEYS No6 on cassette from 1983...

I've a vague memory of buying this very cheaply (50 pence if I recall) from a second music store maybe some 16 years ago....
...listening to it perhaps once (I'm not even certain if I did listen to it), and then it found it's way into the loft to be long forgotten....

Looking at the track listing is interesting....

Side A
Richard Pinhas - Iceland
Bernard Xolotl - Procession
Steve Jolliffe - Journeys Out of The Body
Didier Bocquet - Pictures of Life
Tim Story - In Another Country
Peter Frohmader - Necropolis II
Eddy Sayer - Music for People

Side B
Tangerine Dream - Hyperborea
Michel Huygen - Capturing Holograms
M.A.L - Two Faces
Danner & Clement - A Gradual Awakening
Crystal - Rainbow Voyager
Fondation - La Vaisseau Blanc
Mainframe - Tenants of the Lattice Work

Given this thing's now 34 years old I'm not sure if it even plays anymore?

Does anyone collect these or know anything about them?

There appears to be very little on the internet about them...

All I can remember it is that it was one of a series,
a sort of promotion/review compilation of forthcoming new albums of the day.... IMHO interesting none the less.... 😉

Luckily I've still got the means (a tape deck) to play it on, so it might be worth checking out.... that's assuming it still plays ?

On Discogs you can find a brief outline of the Inkeys$ issues here

"SPECIAL THANKS to Paul Nagle for our INKEY$ theme and incidental music. INKEY$ is compiled, produced and recorded by Jeanette and Denis Emsley."

Looks a bit like an issue that was centred around the (Nada) Pulse label, with Xolotl, Jolliffe, Bocquet etc.

Nice find :).

That's cool (to me) because just recently someone posted a photo of Klaus Schulze on FB with Nessie sitting on his lap and Tommy Betzler was the only one around who knew her (and about Inkeys etc.).

I then did a little google research to find out more about the magazine, but couldn't find a trace of it - which was probably due to the fact that I thought it was some printed magazine, not cassettes...

Thanks!
