Nice choice, actually.

Personally, I don't have any wishes because:
a.) I have almost anything from KS at home anyway and
b.) I'm still not able to conncet to Your show...
but You know that already, don't You...? ;-)

However, just the other day I listened to "Ballett pour le Docteur Faustus" after quite some time and thought that the "ambient" intro indeed is one of the finest "slow and moody" parts that Schulze ever recorded - the rest of the track, however, is of slightly mixed quality, but still has some very cool parts (IMHO, of course) - so maybe that could be something for the "less obvious" part of a Schulze show...?

It's interesting (and good, in a certain way) how you always find something positive in each and every Schulze track. ;-)

I guess I would not be a fan otherwise... ;-)

Then again: even for me there are some Schulze tracks which are kinda hard to defend (or enjoy myself), especially from the late 80ies/early 90ies - a difficult period.

But I think there is no material from between 1975 to 1981 that really ever disappointed me (completely).

And even in Schulzes weakest efforts, there is this element (the one I can't really put my finger on...) that makes his music for me so special, so appealing ;-)

Something that I would never state for most other fathers of EM, I fear, even if they at their best moments are as good or - at least in certain aspects - even better...

I got an old recording with music meant to be a soundtrack from a Dutch movie "De Beste Van De Klas" from 1976.
Does anyone know the story of this music, I got a total of 8 tracks but I think only 5 came from the movie ranging from 1 minute to 11:46.

The others seem to have titles:
Uneasiness Wanderings 29:16
Lichtblicke 9:54
Jan's Theme 19:43
All sound like mid '70's just no idea where they came from or if will be properly released.

Yes, interesting. All I know about it I actually have from this interesting page (which You probably already know):

http://schulze.beinggreen.nl/discography/bestevandeklas.htm

It's listed there, but does not have really more info that You already know...

But let's what we find if we (quickly) do the google...

This gentleman lists some "Introductions to Moondawn" and a "Variation on Ebene (Soundtrack to "Romantic Sisters)" as further tracks on a bootleg that contains this soundtrack:

http://www.onwebnow.co.uk/nige…760700.htm

Aha - and KDM seems to have written about it in the 31st issue of the KS Circle (January 1999). What a nice coincidence that (almost) all the circles are here in a box under my desk, so let me have a look at what Klaus-Dieter has to say about it...

OK, it's about one A4 page of details, but the gist of it seems to be that at least in early 1999, neither KDM nor KS did seem to know/remember much more than we already know.

It seems in June 1976 the filmmaker asked them for music, they did send something like a demo tape (probalby partly with not officially released music), which was returned to them with further specifications and a demo/a sketch from the film maker.

It was asked for 16 1/2 minutes of music for six different (short) scenes, KS did send a new tape of exactly that length (which is also what was mentioned in the contract...)

KDM "didn't find anything in our archives that fits". His source for this music in 1999 seemed to be three bootlegs on tape or CD-R which circulated then (...and still today, it seems), which were of different length and partly contained different "bonus tracks", partly radio interviews...

Well, time for my short research is up... ;-)

P.S. Still have the vague intuition it was used somewhere in the LVEs, or perhaps as a bounus track in the rereleases. But it somehow escapes me where exactly. Hm....

Thanks Michael,
I never had any of those circles. It would be cool if at least they remember where the original tapes are and release them, it would fit perfectly in with an extension of the LVE releases.
The music is very good from a great KS period.

Oh, yeah! 👍

By the way, I forwarded Your question to the "omniscient" Deutsche Klaus Schulze Forum, and one of our sages (from "well informed circles") stated the following:

"De Beste van de Klaas" was a movie from the Dutch director Wim van der Velde and was broadcast 1977 on Dutch television.
The track Klaus composed for it is called "Jan's Theme".
A Bootleg exists, but the music on it is mostly NOT from Klaus.
A part of the material was released as "In Cosa Crede Chi Non Crede?"
as bonus on the Re-Release of MIRAGE.

So, my vague memory proved correct, and it was that one...a track I indeed like very much.

By the way, if You (or anyone) likes to join us at the forum, here are the two links (one is the Facebook version - where I'm usually around - the other one the real forum.)
