A good -- read: creative -- musician will get some interesting stuff from a comb, if necessary. But I don´t get the point of the whole instrument. But then again, I didn´t get the point of the Stylophone either (although I must admit that the Stylophone drumbox is quite impressive).

I had an MS20 for a few years, I liked it. I sold it to raise funds for a Serge panel, sometimes I wish I still had it, it had a few nice noises in it. I never dug the MS10, it seemed too cut down, I think only roland made a successful single-oscillator mono (or in fact several).

This thing is cute, but too small to be anything other than a gimmick! how are you supposed to make any musically meaningful gesture when the ribbon is so tiny, I don't know.

It would be good if the technology got used for other, more usable stuff though.

It´s a superb starting point for mods. The first are already up. I´m sure it will not take too long until we´ll see the first mods with CV/Gate or MIDI input or turning it into a budget 5HE LFO/VCF modul. What about making a polysynth out of four Monotron boards etc.pp.

I wouldn´t hesitate a second to sell an MS20 to raise funds for a Serge... hey, I´d even throw in that SQ10 and MS50 for that purpose :).

Well, I didn't have an MS10 or an MS50, but I did also sell my Mono/Poly to raise the money. That one, I wish I'd kept! I miss it.
