On his recordings Assasin, Legion, and Crash Head.......he is definitely hard rock synth, and he pushes the envelope here, where much of the music pushes the boundaries of bombastic electronic music in a style I will refer to as "heavy metal" synth bliss. All the structures lean toward his energetic style of compositional mayhem in theses recordings

I have all these they are on the heavy side. Assassin live (Sheffield 1985) was a sight to remember.

I used to really like this, but my tastes seem to have moved away from this kind of EM of late

I always thought Mark was making "tight Spandex trousers" EM at that time :)... not my cup of tea, actually :).

Are you more of a "baggy jeans half way down the a*se" EM fan then ? ;)

No, actually not :)... more the "black-hooded-Neubauten-shirt-and tight-black-leather-trousers-with-military-boots" type of EM listener... now that goes to say a lot about my musical tastes, doesn

I haven't heard anything he did after Legion (aside from a Rubycon-clone Redshift track).

I quite like Assassin, which is a little on the bombastic side, but I think the hard rock comparison fits much more with Legion (certainly the first track at least) - pretty hard for me to listen to these days.

The best thing I've heard by Mark Shreeve is without a doubt Thoughts of War, which is a marvellous electronic album I think.
