I'm surprised his name hasn't been mentioned more.
I thought of digging out the cds I own of his the other day. It's been a few years since I played them.
I have his cd Namakar, Dissolution, Himalaya, True North (Amir Baghiri & Grassow) and Mercurius (Grassow, Klaus Wiese).
His music can be fairly "deep", experimental and somewhat dark. Some great atmospheric stuff to sink deep into.
I haven't heard much of his post 2001 music or much of his earlier music. I just discovered he's been around making music since the late 1970s or near abouts. I always found his music more satisfying than the Roachs and Robert Rich's out there.
I see he has a couple new projects he's done over the last few years.
One is Anam Cara (Mathias Grassow, Wolfgang Barkowski) another is
Nebula (Gianluigi Gasparetti, Klaus Wiese, Lorenzo Pierobon, Luna, Mathias Grassow, Mauro Malgrande, Tau Ceti)
Then there's these two projects that look to be more in "meditation" mode. KarmaCosmic and Nostalgia (Carsten Agthe, R
