Mirage sound question

Hi all!
I'm trying to identify the synth making a sound on Mirage. It is the non-harmonic noise/ringmod/chord-like sound that comes in at 0:45 on Velvet voyage, and is then present all over Mirage.
I just can't hear what it is. Anyone has some facts? (I can do guesses myself...)

I think even Klaus Schulze himself does not remember what he did in the old days.

Yes, I've heard that too, even if it is not listed. However, I tried it out on my PS-3100 (which should be able to to it if a 3300 can), but couldn't make it.
