Moog has made an exact replica right down to the original parts of the Big Moog made in 1969 and used by Keith Emerson.

Only five were made but only one is for sale.

I wanted to attach a link to the video but it was rejected.

Take a few minutes and go to http://www.moogmusic.com

Take a look at this video and see just how much it will take to add it to your studio.

At $150,000, it is completely cost-prohibitive for me to own one. I don't even have a place to put it! Sure would be fun to work with, though.

You might opt for the re-issued Model 15, 35, or 55 instead.

A steal at a mere 15,000 US$ (or 35,000, respectively, for the 55).

Hehehe, a steal, which is the only way I could get one. :P

Or I could spend one third of what I'd spend on a Moog and go with a dotcom system and get as good or better quality...

And since they're only two hours from my house, I could just go pick it up.

I love Moog's products and always will. My first synth, in fact, was a Moog Prodigy. I still have it and, aside from drifting oscillators, it still works perfectly, but today's Moog products seem very over-priced, to me, especially when compared to some other systems, like synthesizersdotcom systems, which are amazing. But again... no place to put it right now.

And let's not mention the additional decade it would require for me to master the use of a stack like that, heheh.
