Hi all,
I saw several posts here from people trying to find out who/what a certain soundbyte from their collection is.
My problem is possibly more difficult... As I cannot even offer a soundbyte.
CORRECTION: several mp3-files uploaded, see further down in thie thread. URL: http://w3eaver.com/Peter/MUK/
In the period 1976-1978 Paul Verkempinck composed and Rene Gijsenbergs /Julien Put / Betty Mellaerts presented a radio show on the Belgian Radio station BRT2, called "Muziek uit de Kosmos".
There are 3 songs in particular I am eager to find:
1. "Kleine Eva"?
I think this was a name Ronny or Rene came up with, it may not be the name of the track as given by the artist.
This 5 (or 10?) minute piece I heard 2 times, I remember it was among Ronny and Rene's favourites, as it figured on their top 10 tracks played in an episode aired in December 1978, which was I think the last episode which was called "De witste ruis" (the whitest noise). There were 2 Witste Ruis episodes, one for the listeners and one for Ronny and Rene.
The song is slightly repetitive in nature which just enough of a very sweet melody to move the soul of the listener. the song is purely instrumental.
2. From the second song, I remember a few lines of English semi-spoken text:(male voice) "... but you're crying. I have never seen a woman cry before". At some point the same voice also indicates the speaker is from another planet. I think he then goes on syaing "they call it: ... Earth" and
"Where I come from, there is no hatred, there is no love (or only love?)"
3. Number 3 is a beautiful French ballad, sung by a man, from which I remember more text snippets:
- Tous les soir je sors et je regarde vers la haut
- Mais les photographies ne ramenent jamais qu'un coin du ciel, c'est plus grand, beaucoup plus grand, quand on y est devant
- Est-ce que les etoiles sont des reves? Reponds moi. Est-ce que les etoiles sont des reves, reponds moi. Et si les etoiles sont des reves, alors pourquoi rever encore, je suis peut-etre deja mort
- Le sphynx d'or, le sphynx dort, il dort
fg,
Peter.
