New studio pics

I have finally managed to get my studio almost finished.
Here are some pics ...

Starting from the left end, a couple of midi keyboards
Top is my old Evolution (love it), below is Icon Neuron (best keyboard ever)

Next comes the main 6U synth rack.
From top to bottom:
Rack shelf with Midiman Merge 3x8 which does all my midi switching, you can
see the two midi keyboards are plugged into this, so I can put them to whichever synths
On the right is a Roland UM-3G for computer midi interface.
Then a Novation A-Station
Then an E-Mu Proteus 2000
A gap waiting for something
Oberheim Matrix 1000 (best synth I've got)
TC Electronic M300 - the Obie goes straight into this so it is 'dedicated' for the Obie only
My little RE-20 sits in front, not connected in yet

Below all that is some audio gear
A Sony amp
Marantz CD player
Sony cassette machine (for transcribing)
The Sony drives the two small speakers you can just see either side of the 6U rack.
These can be either totally separate e.g. from the CD player, or using the 3/4 out
from the Mackie (see below)
There is also a feed from the Sony tape out into the Mackie

Next the main "work area"
On the left is a Mackie 1402 VLZ3
On the right is a Midistart 25 keyboard which is direct connected to the E5000 (see below)
The Midistart is a work of art, it's so well made, and it weighs a tonne !!
Microkorg up front of course.
Between the Mackie and the Midistart is a Roland R-05 which is my "master recorder" and runs from the tape out of the Mackie.
I have the "Alt 3/4" outs of the Mackie patched into the Sony amp so that I can play one thing while recording another.
The speakers at the back are Alesis Monitor One's
Between them is a monitor which is not in use (no computers in here)

Finally at the right hand side is the two 4U cabinets.
In the top one there is an E-Mu E5000 sampler, fully loaded.
A gap above it for another item still to come.
In the lower 4U is the Alesis RA150 amp which drives the Monitor One's
A couple of spaces above it waiting for Reverb/FX units to be bought.

Here's a full view from the right

And from the left

Burglars be aware I have two of these

You're welcome to try that.
That is Isa, queen of all the dogs.
She's 70kg of Dane and quite protective.
As you can see, her head is level with the door handle, now go look at a door handle.
The other one is Lolly who refused to get off the sofa for a pic, too stressfull.
That's Danes.
Lolly is slightly smaller (normal size actually, Isa is a bit big really) but only slightly.
Lolly is even more protective. We don't need a doorbell.

thanks guys
I've now got the Space Echo running in the FX loop from the Mackie,
so all manner of whacked-out spacey sounds are happening - perfect !!

also I really like not having a computer in there - for the first time in 15 years
and it's quite liberating - I find I'm doing more with the instruments that I would
have been spending time on the comp instead - this has got to be good for me
