Some visually great images, but the sense of wonder that was in the original novel (Arthur C. Clarke) is nowhere. Disappointing :?

Agree that it is off to a good start, production is good, sotryline interesting up till now. Although there's a bit too many clichees (it's American and it's Star Trek after all) I think the characters are fine so far.

Enjoy this start much more than Enterprise.

This series (or at least these first 4 chapters) is closer to The Original Series than Deep Space 9, Voyager and Enterprise, which I didn't enjoy too much after all.

A good story, superb 80s ambience and, appart from the typical early 80s songs, an electronic score a-la-Tangerine-Dream
