A very nice exercise indeed.

Of course it has no chance to even nearly reach the original, but very nice just the same.
(I mean, even Klaus Schulze couldn't ruin "Die Moldau" completely when electronically rebuilding it on "Goes Classic" ;-) )

This brings to my mind that two years ago I covered Oldfield's "Foregin Affair", with my wife on vocals for a (pivate) live show we did (the wedding of friends...).

If anyone is interested, drop me a line.

We also have covered "Frozen" by Madonna somewhen, and I once rendered some wonderful yiddish tune by Giora Feidmann (the original title escapes me at the moment...).

Never thought of posting them, and they are certainly much less complex and subtle as Stefan's work. However, wouldn't mind to share them now...

Mmmmmmmm, "Foreign Affair", one of my favourite Oldfield tracks. I would like to listen to it (if possible, of course 😉 )

Fine - if You like, send me a p.m. with a direct email adress, and I'll send back a download link soon (...in the past, quite a lot of p.m.s that I sent via the forum system did arrive without text - I reported this, but the reason never was found, so I don't really like to send something via forum p.m. Receiving mails however seems to work properly...).

Otherwise, just tell me Your idea...

Funny thing, I missed my bus today and had to bridge half an hour at the train station - where I found the latest issue of the ECLIPSE Magazine with an article on and short interview with Mike Oldfield. Nice reading... Mike claims that he had written all those hits in the 80ies because Branson insisted they needed some...
