He deliberately chose to do so in his later years when he was with labels like BSC Prudence. His earlier stuff is, dare I say it, actually quite appealing to Berlin School aficionados. Rather Schulzian...

Any news on him?

I remember he released cassettes initially from 1980, then out of the blue, Best of's came out on the IC label. I remember wondering best of what, who's Kosmos, that's a big thing up there...where all the good music was inspired from.

Regardless, his music is still very good, the 12xCDr Chronicles set with his tapes albums is excellent even today, covering unreleased works from 1980 to 2000.
There was an additional CDr that could be ordered from him direct by those who bought the box set, does anyone have it, would not mind a copy to complete the set.
